Kids Kids Bears Jerseys Bears Jerseys, Bourbonnais Illinois healthcare is the summer training camp for the fabulous Chicago Bears football team and it\'s a great place for a fun family adventure! Held on the grounds of Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais (sixty miles south of Chicago) from late July to late August, fans can watch the Bears practice for free and also participate in a number of special events. Practices begin at noon, 3:00 pm, or 7:00 pm., and the gates open one hour before the practice starts that day. Besides watching the Bears practices, there are great activities for kids held every day. Young children can enjoy the Jewel Osco Kids\' Zone (located just outside the pro shop, between gates 1 and 2; open every day till 8 pm), which is filled with fun activities such as an obstacle course, water games, inflatable games, jousting, football tosses, a bounce house and other sports-themed activities. On select days the Staley Dance Express, presided over by Staley, the Chicago Bears official mascot, will feature music, hands-on entertainment, and giveaways.
The Gatorade Junior Training Camps located right next to practice field 1 are held during most day practices for kids age 4 to 12 who want to learn more about playing football and improving their skills. Kids can catch a punt and kick a field goal, run a route and catch a pass, and race with friends in the relay challenge held an hour before practice begins. On selected days Staples will hold a Show Your Bears Spirit poster contest for kids age 4 to 12 (located by Bourbonnais healthcare on the path next to the tennis courts between gates 1 and 2), and all entrants will be entered into a random drawing with Bears\' players autographs for prizes. Winners are selected thirty minutes before the end of the practice that day, and they will be given a pass to the Staples Front Row Kids Zone along the players exit. Also, the first 150 kids between ages 4 and 12 will automatically receive a pass good for the Bears\' players Kids Only autograph session that day.
Besides the watching the daily practice sessions, there are special events and theme days such as Armed Forces Day, Hispanic Day, Family Night, Run with Staley (the Bears mascot), and Youth Football Day. There is also a Training Camp Safety Day which features a number of local safety service presenters. Armed Forces Day is held in honor of the men and women who serve or have served our country.
